Which MantellaWorks lighting kit fits your 3rd Gen 4Runner?

Start with your bumper, then choose your lighting package. MantellaWorks offers separate turn-signal and auxiliary-light kits for 1996–1998 and 1999–2002 Toyota 4Runner factory front bumpers. The early and late kits are not interchangeable.

Every kit includes plug-and-play turn signals. Auxiliary lighting is separate: no auxiliary-light wiring harness or switch is included.

If your truck has a swapped or aftermarket bumper, do not select a kit by model year alone. Contact MantellaWorks with your truck's year and clear bumper photos before ordering. Tacoma and Hilux Surf fitment is not established by this guide.

For a 1996–1998 4Runner: open or lens style?

Choose the open-style kit if you prefer its appearance or want the option to order without auxiliary pods. Choose black or gray housings, then select your auxiliary-light package.

Choose the lens-style kit if you prefer the clear-lens appearance. Select black or gray housings, no auxiliary pods or white or yellow auxiliary LEDs, and whether you need clear lenses supplied with the kit.

Already have compatible clear-lens lights? The lens-style kit lets you reuse those clear lenses. Do not assume every existing lens will fit; contact us if you are unsure.

The lens-style listing also offers “No auxiliary light.” This excludes the auxiliary pods only; the turn signals, ASA housings, and auxiliary-light mounting brackets are still included.

For a 1999–2002 4Runner

Choose the 1999–2002 turn-signal and fog-light kit, designed for the later factory front bumper. Select no auxiliary pods, white LED auxiliary pods, or yellow LED auxiliary pods.

The 1996–1998 kits are not substitutes for this later-bumper kit.

What comes in the box?

Every lighting kit includes:

  • ASA housings.
  • Plug-and-play turn signals.
  • Brackets for mounting auxiliary lights.

White or yellow LED selections include the corresponding auxiliary light pods. On the lens-style kit, clear lenses are supplied only when you select the option to include them.

No auxiliary-light wiring harness or switch is included. You supply the auxiliary-light wiring for your installation.

What does “plug-and-play” mean here?

It describes the turn-signal connection—not the entire auxiliary-light installation. The auxiliary pods need their own wiring. Do not order expecting a complete auxiliary-light harness and switch in the box.

On the open-style 1996–1998 and 1999–2002 listings, “No Light” means no auxiliary pods. The lens-style listing calls this “No auxiliary light.” In each case, your kit still includes the turn signals, housings, and auxiliary-light mounting brackets.

White or yellow LEDs?

These options describe the auxiliary LEDs, not the clear lenses. Choose the color you want for your setup. This guide does not claim that either option has a tested visibility, brightness, or beam-performance advantage.

Before you order

  • Match the kit to the factory bumper year range.
  • Check your housing, LED, and lens selections where offered.
  • Plan for customer-supplied auxiliary-light wiring and a switch; neither is included.
  • Read the selected product's use restrictions. A kit's name is not a claim of certification or road-use approval.
